Youth Director Bio
Jacob T. Saylor earned a Masters of Divinity (high distinction) from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA and is completing his work on a Masters of Theology from the same institution. He doubled majored in religion and philosophy at the University of South Carolina and is especially interested in Systematic and Liturgical Theology.
Jacob has extensive Youth Ministry experience having served at Ionian Village, as well as the summer camp programs of the metropolises of Atlanta, San Francisco, and the Direct Archdiocese District.
He was the President of his class at Seminary and the Virginia Military Institute (where he began his undergraduate studies). While studying in Brookline, Jacob helped to organize and lead the Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) at Northeastern University. He has also received extensive crisis response training under the auspices of International Orthodox Christian Charities and deployed with a team of responders to Galveston, TX in the wake of Hurricane Ike.
A native of Virginia, Jacob's hobbies include surfing and reading.
