celebrating our hellenic heritage
Holy Trinity was founded in 1904 by Greek immigrants looking to establish a new life in America. Over more than a century, we have become a vibrant diverse community that embodies the virtue of φιλοξενία (filoxenia) - hospitality. We welcome recent immigrants from Greece relocating to San Francisco for work or study, provide a supportive home for Orthodox Christians who were received into the faith as children, and embrace new inquirers from all backgrounds that are looking for the rich treasure of Orthodox Christianity.
Σχολείο Ελληνικής Γλώσσας - Greek Language School
Our Greek School meets twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. We offer two classes: for youth we meet from 5pm - 6pm. Adults meet from 6pm - 7pm. Our director, Mrs. Demitra Armenakis is extremely professional and has taught at the university level. For more information contact: demi.armenakis@gmail.com and fr.nmetrakos@holytrinitysf.org
Ελληνικοί Παραδοσιακοί Χοροί - Greek Folk Dance
Many young people and adults have found Greek folk dancing to be a wonderful way for fellowship and light exercise. Holy Trinity has had a long history of hosting dance groups comprised of young people from the Bay Area winning awards at large national festivals. We have dance groups for children starting at the age of 4. This is a great way to practice following directions and learning to control movement. Our youngest dancers (ages 4-8) meet for practice at 6pm on Mondays at the Christopher Center. For more information or to sign-up please contact Presv. Anysia (anysia.metrakos@gmail.com)
